Primary Signet-rignet cell Carcinoma of rectosigmoid colon in child

Abstract
|
|
|
A case of primary signet-ring cell carcinoma of the rectosigmoid colon is described.
Primary colorectal signet-ring carcinomas are rarities : only about 80 cases are recorded in the English literature. These are known commonly as primary Linitis plastica carinoma of colon. following the report of Laufman and Saphir in 1951. Diffuse and -circumferential infiltration of bowel wall by signet-ring cells produce a thick, rigid segment-linitis plastica of the colon.
Signetring cell carcinoma has more extensive disease at the time of diagnosis than do those with ordinary carcinoma.
